Depression ? What is depression ?
Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed.
So basically Depression is related to the negative overthinking. And this overthinking happen most of the time just because you are not able to achieve what you desire for(dream college,job, relationship,etc), you can’t make upto someone expectations or may be you are unsatisfied with your current life. Means you seeing nothing good in your life and starts hating your life. Most of the time this is the only reason of depression.
So now, the question is how to turn it around ?
So whoever is going through the depression should focus on the root of the depression, i.e Overthinking. Most of the time, overthinking leads us to the depression.
So how to get rid of overthinking ? Before i explain this to you, let me ask a question.
What is success ? What is success for anyone ? What is success for you ? Every question has different answers. I mean to say that not everyone has the same definition of Success. Success has not a fixed definition. And most of the people confused success with money, cars, fame, lots of relationship, etc etc.
But trust me, succes is never like that. Success is not the same for every person. There is not one definition for Success. There are many people who have everything but doesn’t satisfied with their life, means they haven’t got success even having huge money and fame. Famous celebrities also do suicide( for eg : Chester Bennington, Linkin Park lead singer). This means success has nothing to do with money or fame.
So what exactly success is ?
One of the most successful author “Napoleon Hill” said – “Success comes with the satisfaction and happiness.”
Success is more of process, practice and hard work. But remember one thing, Practice never makes you perfect. Practice makes you happy and that hapiness gives you a habit of that practice. So ultimately happiness is the key to have success and satisfaction in life. And if any person is successful and satisfied, then he/she will never going to get into depression.
So we have found a solution,i.e. happiness and satisfaction is the medicine of depression. If you are satisfied with your life, then you don’t have to worry of anything and this stops you from overthinking (the root of the depression). And when you don’t have negative overthinking then automatically you becomes happy.
So now the question is how to become happy and satisfied with our life?
It sounds easy but we all know in reality it is not easy at all. We all know Success is more of process and practice. So with the we have to practice of happiness. How is this possible ?
For this we have to believe in our thoughts. Its not as easy but it can be achievable by practice.
So again there is a question, can our thoughts change the reality of world ? Obviously not. But your thoughts can obviously change your world. So how to use your thoughts to change our life so it brings happiness and satisfaction in our life.
So the very first thing, you don’t need to be a person which worlds want to see. You have to be person which you enjoys the most.
If you are comfortable with a simple bike then you don’t need to buy a expensive bike to show off. If you are really enjoying your vacation and get 10 likes on your Facebook photo of that vacation. Then its okay. In reality you have enjoyed much more than many people who got 800 likes but not happy as you. Happiness lies within you, not in likes and another person.
By changing your thought process you can change your reality. Thoughts are powerful force in our life because we perceive them as a real.
Everything you see or observe is your mindset only.
If you see a world beautiful place, then in reality it becomes. And if you see it as ugly, then ugliness comes looking for you.
Lets take a real life example to see how our mindset works. You are on auto and getting late for office because you got stucked in a traffic. And then You happened to saw some children playing happily in the ground.
And now there is two situation… It can make you happy or sad. Lets see.
If you starts thinking of your own childhood, and starts cherishing every moment you have spend with your own friends, suddenly you feel energetic, you became happy,and now your whole day is going to be great.
And at the same time, if you starts thinking about your childhood and starts feeling low. because at present you are so worked up, messed up, and you don’t have any time to enjoy this life anymore the way you used to enjoy your life in childhood. And suddenly you got sad by seeing that playing child and it worsen your whole day. Ultimately you got depressed by seeing a happily playing children.
Now you must have realised how your mindset works. By changing your thought process you can change your reality.This applies in everything.
So happiness or sadness or everything depends on our mindset.
So starts training your mind to see beautiful in every thing. And suddenly you beacame happy with your life, no matter how much money do you have, how famous you are, how many friends do you have, whether you have costly brands to wear or not.
Choose the qualities that you would like to have and practice a little everyday.
Just get ip in the morning, stand in the front of the mirror and recite. I am beautiful, I am smart, I am intelligent, I am confident,I will definately achieve success. I am the master piece beacuse i m created by the almighty God and God never makes a mistake. Just practice these things and you will soon realise a change in yourself. You will become optimistic. Happiness always keep looking for you. And soon you starts feeling blessed for everything.
You become happy and satisfied. Now you don’t have any usless worries. You stops negative overthinking. You are not depressed now. You are enjoying you life now because you have realised that happiness lies within me.
Try these things in your life. Practice yourself to see good in everything. It is hard but it can be achievable.Remove hatred from your life by developing love for humanity.
Become the kind of person you want to be. Don’t give a shit about what useless people think about you. Trust me, this will turns out to be helpful.
